CO and button are both very bad. Play way too many hands and see to many SD's with them.
How is my line? I don't like to bet the flop and check/fold the turn. Is check/folding the flop very bad? check-folding the flop is bad. Depending on how often the button raises and how loose these opponents are I think there may be a good argument for a turn bet as well, but you line is fine and probably the better default choice.

It seems weird, and I have a hunch spydog is gonna come kick our asses, but I can't really justify continuing past the turn. I think at least one of them has you beat for more often than the pot odds are giving. I'd play it the same way.

its a better case for a turn bet, because you are headsup and a priori you knew he was a loose postflop caller (and presumably aggressive too), so a belief you are beat following a flop call doesn't completely mesh with this and contradicts the basis for a flop bet- basically if you know he will call with worse hands you can't profitably bet the flop and then give him a 6.5 BB pot. You either have to view the flop bet as requiring further betting (as part of a overarching plan for the hand) or conclude your read of this opponent is too loose.
there are lots of gutshots and smaller pocket pair combos for him to have, although the pot is smaller so that weighs against such a bet headsup. So how loose do you think he is- IMO there are a fair share of people who are loose enough to call the flop with a worse hand, and it sounds like this opponenet is one of them. |

The problem with these players (not too aggr postflop): they show aggression (pfr) with a hand like A7o, when I reraise them they think I have a better hand like AKo. So they go in the call-down mode right away.
So this means it's almost never good to go to the SD with a hand like TT on this board. Is this too simple? |
