Default Empire State Poker Series, Turning Stone *Official Thread*

Alright, let's keep this to one thread. No more threads on the topic.

Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY is running their annual Empire State Poker Series, from Sunday August 14th to Sunday August 21st. A list of events is posted here.

I'll be up for most of the end of the week, as will at least a few other 2+2'ers... I might catch a couple of tournaments but I'll probably mostly play cash games.

If anyone's thinking of stopping up, post in this thread. If you have any questions about rake or what games they spread at TS, also post it in this thread... don't make a new one.

I want to go but have a couple of questions.

1. Will they still have the regular cash games?
2. What days/times are high for carding?

That's basically why I'm going, so yes.

It doesn't matter when you're 18!! GET OLDER

i don't really know, I got carded three times in the same day once, otherwise never... so I think it's just dependent on when the gaming commission is in town

They went through a one week period about 6 months ago when they were carding. Other than that, they do not card. I really would not worry about it if I were you. If you look 16 or older I really do not think you will have a problem. Still, you should probably stick to cash games ad not try to play a tournament as an underage player. GL

Cool, thanks

A friend and I are thinking of heading out today so if that goes well and I can convince my bro to head out, then I'll definitely be there from the 14-16.

I didn't end up going. I'm either heading out tomorrow and then leaving the 16th, going on the 17th, or one of my friends wants to go on the 20th for a couple days so I'll likely do a combination of those. Going on the 17th and leaving like the 21st sounds good though but I'll update in this thread when I know for sure.

dont play tournaments if you are underage. the casino has withheld prizes from minors before. if they card you in a cash game you at least get to keep your chips.

By underage, I hope you mean under 18... cuz I'm 18 and I plan on playing multiple tourneys.
18 y/o can play the tourneys there, correct??

Mistaken
