Charging a fee for using 2+2 forums?
I have this idea. I'd really WANT to pay a simbolic fee (let's say 10$ for 6 months) to use the 2+2 forums. Payment via Neteller or Pokersite to Skalsky so it's easy and stuff...
I'd like to pay in order to filter out users, so that only serious players remain. Too many leeches that only read and never post (I see 200 thread views and 2 replies sometimes) and when they do post they talk garbage sometimes. Also, I think the service 2+2 provides is great and deserves a small "tip". What do you people think? |

NO, if it was required I'd prob pay it, but this idea is ridiculous.

I agree. PM me and I will give you my Party account to send payment.

I'd like to pay in order to filter out users [/ QUOTE ] You can already do that. It's called the "ignore user" function. |

Re: Charging a fee for using 2+2 forums?
This idea is terrible. You realize that you're talking to a userbase that bitches about paying $2 to withdraw $1000 to their Neteller card, right? What makes you think that they would voluntarily pay so that they could GIVE OUT advice? I would certainly not mind seeing an area for forum donations, because I'm sure that many of us would happily contribute to a source that has benefitted us. But charging a subscription fee for a user-supported forum would never work.

Re: Charging a fee for using 2+2 forums?
1$ a month can hardly be called a "subscription fee"
It's a SIMBOLIC fee to filter out people that don't have Neteller accounts or make fake accounts to advertise or such things. Why not pay 1$ a month to access a cleaner forum with "better" users and at the same time be rewarding 2+2 for it's service to the comunity. |

[/ QUOTE ] The 2+2 community rewards itself. The posters that help people don't want to HAVE to pay in order to continue helping people. Plus.. 2+2 makes decent money off advertising on the forums. Not to mention all the money they make off of their books. Trust me, almost nobody is going to support your idea. Again, if you want to "clean" up the forums... use the ignore feature. It's free and it works just fine. |

I live in Brazil and I think americans are cheap. What has the world come to? [/ QUOTE ] How nice for you. I'm sorry to inform you that a $1 fee per a monthly or yearly basis IS considered a subscription. I'm sorry you think Americans are cheap, but you are not going to get people to say, "Hey, I want to spend money I don't have to, just to get the same thing I was already getting before. Great deal!" That's not going to happen. Use the ignore feature. 2+2 isn't even interested in charging a subscription fee right now. See Mason Malmuth's posts for details. |
