Default A quote from El Diablo. Can someone explain?

[ QUOTE ]
Not surprisingly, Mason, your description of how the hand will be played reminds me of how limit players play NL - typically far worse than even relatively inexperienced low-limit NL players.

[/ QUOTE ]

What sort of bad plays do successful limit players make that a standard NL noob wouldn't?

They don't control the pot size. And they don't give enough value to position. So they check/raise hands that shouldn't be check/raised and stuff like that.

Don't check/raise hands that you shouldn't! You're welcome!

(Basically marginal hands shouldn't be check/raised because you show that you are strong and therefore get worse hands to instamuck, but better hands won't usually fold so you are just going to lose the most, win the least. Yuck!)

With your flop aggression, I'm not surprised. I'd love to see some hands that are emblematic of how you play with such successful aggression on the flop.

Thanks--check raising marginal hands ain't a fault I have--whew!

Betting when checked to; raising small bets; and getting sucked out on by maniacs are!

They relinquish control of pot odds to their opponents.

They give out big implied odds to opponents.

They don't re-evaluate their holdings and opponents holdings in the face of new information as the hand progresses.

They tilt a lot.

They are basically sitting ducks for experienced opponents.
