Basic AK question
Situation we all face i need some feedback...
NL Raise in middle position with AK, 1 caller, A-rag-rag flop but with 2 suited cards. I bet about pot, get called, and the turn comes with a 3rd suited card. Now what? We obviouly think theres a good chance he hit his flush, do I push? Check call? Check fold? |

Re: Basic AK question
The way I see it, these are your viable options:
bet/push bet/call bet/fold check/fold check/call check/raise with more info on the opponent some start to look better than others |

Re: Basic AK question
i also think are suits make a difference in this situation. if i have the K high draw i may want to c/c. if i dont have a re draw i may want to bet/fold. obviously none of this can be said without a read...

Re: Basic AK question
Why is it obvious he hit a flush? Is AQ and AJ not in villain's range? Are there straight possibilities? Was the villain in either the sb or bb? Are there monsters under your bed?
Until we know the answers to these questions it is pointless to generalize. |

Re: Basic AK question
Although I agree with 42 that it's pointless to generalize, I will say this:
Set this hand aside for a moment. If you think there is a very good chance that your opponent has just drawn out on you, why in hell would you push? |
