Re: $11 - QQ, A turns
It would be nice to know how CO lost so much of his stack so quickly.
Raise 4-5xbb preflop.I lead the turn and fold to a push. I like the flop bet. I just push the turn, yah he might have an Ace but the pot is big and you are committed. I think folding the river is pretty awful. |

[/ QUOTE ] Alright, I have a confession to make. I didn't fold the river. Regardless, I loathe the way I played it. If I was going to fold to a river push, I should've folded to the turn bet. Help me out here: I don't get why anyone would lead this turn. If I'm going to push, why not c/r all-in, and push the river if he checks behind the turn? If he has an A, he'd call my turn push. If he doesn't, I might get him to bet at the turn before I force him out. |

Alright, I have a confession to make. I didn't fold the river. Regardless, I loathe the way I played it. If I was going to fold to a river push, I should've folded to the turn bet. [/ QUOTE ] My point exactly. Okay, my take: On the turn, villain has t600 left. I'd make a bet of ~200 into the pot. Unless he's very tricky, I think you can fold to a push of 400 more. (I wouldn't do this against a tricky or aggressive player who would push on a draw.) But on an 11, I think that a push over the top of your turn bet is an ace the vast majority of the time. Now, if it weren't for the draws on board, I usually prefer check - calling a push over pushing myself. If he's got an ace, he's never folding, but you allow him to bluff at you. I don't like my check - call line here because of the presence of draws all over the place. I know some will disagree, but I would make a bet of 175-200 on the turn. If he pushes for his remaining 400-425, I'd fold against a typical 11 opponent. |

Re: $11 - QQ, A turns
What 45suited said. Bet the turn! He's running out of chips and is unlikely to risk them without a hand. Your check on the turn exposes you to the bluff.
So he had Ace-x of hearts? or less likely A8o, A9o? |

Re: $11 - QQ, A turns
I don't know, I'm probably calling that river bet.
Villain's push might very well be desperation if he had some sort of draw after the flop, which is draw-heavy. Or Villain could have a monster, of course, but you only have to be right one out of four times, and you still have some sort of stack left if you are wrong. |

Honestly, his turn lead fails to sell more so than the river. The two combined do not add up to an Ace IMO. (Damn, I gotta split. Maybe someone else can explore these possible non-Ace signs a bit for me.) |

Re: $11 - QQ, A turns
It seems to me that once you check - called the turn, you're committed to calling the river.
Why not lead the turn? |

Re: $11 - QQ, A turns
I think he was worried that if he leads the turn he was committed to call a push.
Hence why I just open push the turn or check/raise the turn to get all the chips in the middle. |

Re: $11 - QQ, A turns
i like open pushing the turn. it's t600 more to get villain all in, which is basically the size of the pot. seems reasonable to me.
