Posting blinds OOP
Is posting a blind OOP theoretically correct, incorrect or meh? I personally like to wait for my turn to post the big blind, but that's just a matter of preference.

Re: Posting blinds OOP
It depends on what you want your table image to be.
If you want to be seen as someone who is a loose, impatient player - you post. If you want to be seen as someone who is a tight, patient player - you wait until it's your BB. |

Re: Posting blinds OOP
I usually like to find a seat where the BB will be within 1-2 hands or sit right behind where the dealer is so I can post in the CO. If I am 1 or 2 hands away, I can wait. If I will be in the CO, I can post a BB and then go 7 hands before it reaches me again.
My image is that of a tight one, so I dont mind waiting a couple of hands before I can get in. It helps me to see how the players are playing. But I wanna play like everyone else, so the sooner I can play the better! |

Re: Posting blinds OOP
unless the table is really fishy its always mathematically correct to wait, even if u can post in the CO

Re: Posting blinds OOP
Are you sure about that? Ed Miller in SSHE claims that mathematically the choice you make to post or wait does not much matter.

With everyone multi-tabling, nobody is going to notice if you posted or waited. Add the fact that with so much turnover at a table, after an hour half your table may be new players and didn't see you post/wait. SP |
