Why is Party Poker stupid enough to allow this?
Spam chat at Party:
[ QUOTE ] freshpoker88: Your opponent could be one of THOUSANDS of our customers using our software to scan YOUR hole cards. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em: www .x com [/ QUOTE ] This is bad for business! Are they too stupid to stop this crap? And if anyone is computer web savy -- how about a major hack, denial of service attack, on the above site? |

Re: Why is Party Poker stupid enough to allow this?
there is tons of advertising on the party skins. They manage to block some of it, but the vast majority is still there from what i can tell.
I can see this going on for a long time. i mean they cant even get their damn waiting lists to work right. |

Re: Why is Party Poker stupid enough to allow this?
You won't hear any arguments from me. If the people who handle controlling chat content are as clever and conciencious as those in customer support, I have no doubt this will not stop any time soon.

A DNS attack is illegal, plain and simple. WHat they are doing is dishonest but not violating any US law. (as far as I can tell, though it does almost seem like fraud)

Re: Why is Party Poker stupid enough to allow this?
I emailed them a couple times and said just stop observer chat. It's just unreal they're so stupid. They just ignore it and give some fill in the blank letter about banning the user.

Re: Why is Party Poker stupid enough to allow this?
The last thing Party cares about is their customers satisafaction. So in ratiliation we should spam them with emails untill the support is so fed up reading our spam that they tell party to show their 30 cents an hour and go back to making Nikes.

Re: Why is Party Poker stupid enough to allow this?
what's incredible about it is NOT that it's just annoying...but rather that it's detrimental to their business and online-poker in general.
This should be reason enough for them to stop it. Set up a screen with random table-chat scrolling by and set it up in front of the e-mail and phone cust-serv people. They can ignore all the other stuff....but if they happen to see a spam in the chat-box...then BAM...just ban the guy right-away. It's not that hard to crack-down on this stupid stuff. I don't want my opponent thinking that online-poker isn't legit...and party shouldn't want them thinking that is a possibility either. |

Re: Why is Party Poker stupid enough to allow this?
I agree that chat spam like this is common and is bad for Party's business. They could easily solve this by disallowing observer chat entirely. If that is too heavy handed, they could do something like only letting you chat as an observer if you had played 1000 real money hands or more on your account and if you spammed, they would ban you. Party really is stupid to do nothing about this.
