10 Player Table I am EP ($650) and have 10/10 and and bet $25 (mistake?). It is folded to my unpredictable opponent ($700) who makes it $100. I call and it is now down to two of us. The flop is J 6 2 offsuit. I am first to act. How much (if any) should I bet?

I should point out that the guy made it $50 with j 2 offsuit about five hands earlier and was playing a ton of hands.

So, by that, you're calling his PF reraise b/c you think your hand may actually be best here. If that's the case, then push PF, if not muck.

I like your thinking because I am out of position here but what do you think of a $200 or so bet on the flop to see if the guy actually has a big hand.

I agree with the two replies already made. You are calling for a bit more than 10% of your stack (violating the 5/10 rule). Also, your implied odds are 550:75, or a little better than 7:1. I don't remember exactly, but I think the odds against hitting a set are more than 8:1 against.
Easy math-based fold. If you are both deeper then it's a different story. Marlow |

This is all dependent on how you've been playing, but I'm inclined to bet about 150 here.
