Absolute raking from pots that never see a flop
Absolute Poker is now raking out of pots that simply get folded around. Is this the industry norm? I can't recall ever seeing this before.
In addition, though the max rake does not seem to have gone up, they are maxing in smaller pots (less than 1 BB, so almost EVERY pot is maxxed). The upshot of this is that short games, and especially heads up, have now become prohibitively expensive. This new change smacks of sheer, unaldulterated greed. The only bright side is that bonus whores may clear bonuses faster (but lose more to the rake in the process). |

Re: Absolute raking from pots that never see a flop
This would definitely suck if true. Surely there are some people playing there this afternoon that can verify.

Do you have an example?
As far as I know this is not true. |

Re: Absolute raking from pots that never see a flop
So many hands get folded around there, they probably had to get rake from somewhere...

Re: Absolute raking from pots that never see a flop
Are you talking after a flop is seen? Doesn't every site have a "no flop" "no drop" policy?

Re: Absolute raking from pots that never see a flop
This info is not updated. I'm watching the "new" 75/100 table (50/100 is no longer available with the latest software upgrade) and the rake is $5!!!

It is our policy not to charge a rake if there is no flop ("no flop no drop"). [/ QUOTE ] I've seen this happen at least 2 times today. It was at limit $0.50/1 and $1/2. Also the points towards the bonus are not accumulating for every hand that they should. |
