Forty-Four
Games gotten kinda shorthanded, no ones adjusted except for the original PFR and myself. I'm not using PT, but he's been pretty aggressive with his steal attempts, but usually backs off when he faces aggression. This is the first time I've been able to defend against him. The BB in the hand is unknown. I haven't seen him do anything special, and hes been around for a few orbits. So...

Re: Forty-Four
What are you expecting to accomplish with this bet? Make Q/Q fold? I don't see either one going away, especially not BB who capped both of you. He's telling you he has a great hand, which probably means he has an ace.
I check/fold here, but I'm weak-tight in situations like this. |

Re: Forty-Four
If it matters, it was Heads Up on the flop, the original PFR folded when it was 2Bets back to him

Re: Forty-Four
That's understandable. He probably had crap. You saw his crap and raised with a decent hand, and BB saw your decent hand and reraised with what figures to be an even better one.
If you don't hit your 23½-1 shot on the turn, you're check/folding, right? |

Re: Forty-Four
ooooo. Pasty.
I'm not sure if I could do this. Being an unknown and capping makes it tough. I think this is an easy bet/fold cause I don't like your bdfd much either. This might be backwards, but if he'd called preflop, and raised the flop, I might hang around for the turn, but since he capped preflop, I don't think you have a lick of fold equity. |

Re: Forty-Four
i understand the pre-flop 3-bet, but after BB caps, you should c/f the flop UI not b/f.

are you going to 3bet him if given the opportunity? [/ QUOTE ] no after BB has capped pre-flop, we are check/folding the flop. I think bet/folding is throwing away money, because we are nearly certain to get raised. |

[/ QUOTE ] You said button backs down when you come back at him, but now an unknown is 3-betting. The purpose of raising was to get rid of BB, but apparently he has a better hand. I can see the logic of betting into this flop, but I don't think a typical unknown is folding TT-KK. |
