Blind steal situation against a superLAG
veryLAG opens on the button, SB folds, I just call in the BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
flop is: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I check, he bets, I call. turn is a 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I check, he bets, I raise, he calls. river is a 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I bet, he raises, I call. Standard and boring right? |

Re: Blind steal situation against a superLAG
I probably go 3bet preflop bet bet bet/call.
*your line works too, but you are putting in an extra bet if you are beat. Though, I'd say that both lines are fine |

I like it. I might lead the flop, but not 100% of the time.

Re: Blind steal situation against a superLAG
We've got TPGK against a LAG who could be raising any hand including a weaker ace. We bet/he raises/we call. Check-raise the turn, bet the river. We pick up an extra SB.
Basically, if he's a superLAG, he's not folding any part of this flop. I think we can take a few more bets out of him on it. |

Re: Blind steal situation against a superLAG
what about the times he 3bets you on the turn? What about the times he folds on the turn? I don't know if you are getting as many bets in as you think.

Re: Blind steal situation against a superLAG
If he 3-bets here we call down. Our read on him is that he's a superLAG which I'm taking to mean he can have just about any two cards here and he's unlikely to fold if he catches any part of the board. If we lead into him on the flop, he's likely to raise us with anything.
If he folds to our turn check-raise we take down the pot, but I don't think leading into him on the flop would cause him to be any less likely to call our check-raise. |

Re: Blind steal situation against a superLAG
Against a bad LAG I typically 3 bet preflop with any hand that has showdown value, and then show it down, and put in extra bets if I hit a hand, though I think just calling is also ok.
Post flop I play it the same, assuming he's the type to bet this flop/turn, which sounds like that was what your read was. |
