2 Push range questions
Just wondering what push ranges I should be considering here. This is a pretty strong part of my game, but I felt unsure in both these spots.
Tournament in question is the stars 700k. Players behind me are tight- and the whole table in general has been very TAG. EDIT: My table image should be pretty tight (and maybe even-- gasp-- WEAK-tight, for those of you who read my 99 fold from this tournament) PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t400 (9 handed) internettexasholdem.com MP2 (t8875) MP3 (t4680) Hero (t2870) Button (t1664) SB (t20875) BB (t8375) UTG (t7565) UTG+1 (t2495) MP1 (t4940) Preflop: Hero is CO with 2 cards. 7 folds, Hero pushes if he has: Hand 2 (Same tournament) PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t400 (9 handed) internettexasholdem.com BB (t8775) UTG (t4580) Hero (t2770) MP1 (t1564) MP2 (t23450) MP3 (t5100) CO (t10390) Button (t2620) SB (t3090) Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with 2 cards. 1 fold, Hero pushes if he has: |

Re: 2 Push range questions
#1) Any two, except I don't like pushing little A's because its biggish A's that tend to call, and I want 2 live ones.
#2) Any pair, AT+, Any two broadway. This is just off the top of me melon. Regards, Woodguy |

Re: 2 Push range questions
First hand - check that you indeed have two cards. Then push.
2nd hand, I don't really like pushing any mediocare hands with SB being so short and the rest of the table to act. Probably 55+, A10+, KQ. |

Re: 2 Push range questions
So to the "pretty much any 2" crowd for hand #1, 62o looks good right? (Coincidentally thats what I had.)

Re: 2 Push range questions
ya any two for the first one.. If I was in MP3 I'd need a lil something though, CO+ is where I like to push with anything
second one what I like to generally do with short stack but EP situations is pretend I'm in MP (say 5th and on) and use my raising requirements in MP for my EP decision.. also any pair on top of that. |
