Default Negreanu & Greenstein Playing 2nd Match at Wynn

I was at the Wynn today and watched a couple hands of Negreanu and Greenstein playing their second match. They were playing 7 card stud again (unless this was a split game) and Negreanu had a very large chip lead. It looked like he was up at least 3.5:1 and maybe as much as 5:1.

There doesn't seem to be any significant information over on Negreanu's blog.

blog thread

The two hands I saw were as follows:

1. Negreanu is the low card bring in, Greenstein raises, Negreanu folds.

2. Greenstein is the low card bring in, Negreanue raises, Greenstein folds.

I'm sure glad I was there during the action hands.

Is the match set up where spectators can watch behind a partition of some sort? Also, what are your opinions on the poker room at the Wynn and the games there?

the matches are usually played at the front right corner of the high limit area - right by the inner rail, so it's very easy for spectators to view (though it gets a bit crowded with more than 7 or 8 railbirds)

aesthetically, the room looks and feels great. the poker room staff is pretty young, though, so i'm sure there will be some growing pains re: decisions and just running the room well. as for the games, i've only played 15/30 HE and only been there 3 or 4 times but it was a very soft game - relatively loose and passive.

What time was that, D? I clicked on the blog link you posted and saw this:

4:01-Daniel up 87,000 after first dealer.

4:31-Daniel up 132K after the second dealer. So far DN is 0 for 3 on flush draws(per the norm as of late). He's bluffed him once though Smile

5:01- Daniel up 136.

5:30- DN up 83K after the 4th dealer.

6:04- Match is tied up 500,000 at peice. DN can't hit a flush draw now he's 0 for six.

I'm a big DN fan, and in no way am doubting his skill.

But is anyone else noticing how he seems to get bad cards, not hit draws, and get drawn out on in every single tournament?

Considering he was up 136k, it seems unlikely that nothing hits for him. Remember it is a blog on Daniels site reporting, so they probably have a slight bias reporting things.

the "reporting" on DN is laughable on fcp. I hope this is not the source of your news.

as for short term bad luck, it happens, and looks especially weird when the good luck goes unreported.
