KK flop play
2nd hand so both villians here are unkowns.
Should I jam this flop since I can't easily protect my hand on the turn? Since CO is an unkown his cold call on the flop has me a bit worried if a 3rd club hits, although I have Kc. I guess I was a bit of a weaky on this one. Re: KK flop play
I would 3-bet the flop, planning to lead the turn.
The rest of the hand looks all right to me. CO's cold-call does have me worried that he'll pull ahead if another club falls. There's also some chance he has 77/55 and doesn't want to give his hand away yet. Or maybe he just has a jack. That's my guess when he pays off on the river. (But maybe it was J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] or something. I suppose a hand like A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] is also possible.) Anyway, I don't know how Paradise 15/30 plays, so I should probably mention that as a disclaimer. |

Re: KK flop play
I like flop 3 bet. What do you do when turn is 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], if you are raised/bet on turn what do you do?

Re: KK flop play
Threebet the flop if you're going to lead the turn anyways.
By default I'd threebet this flop everytime and only slow down if I get raised again. |

Re: KK flop play
Donking the turn and not three-betting the flop is pretty logically inconsistent. The turn is not really going to change your equity that much (notice, for example, that a [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] turn gives you a second nut redraw and you are vulnerable to no more than 4 overcards). Hence, if you are betting the turn because you have an equity edge, you almost certainly have that same equity edge on the flop. So three-bet the flop.

Re: KK flop play
3 bet that flop my man. you cant protect on turn and probably dont want to c/r it. also, if you were wiating for a non- [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] thats silly because you have the K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
