$1000 event
Are you expecting the $1000 event to get capped as well? I know last yaer the $500 event had around 400 more players than the $1000 event. I hope I make it in time to sign up.

Re: Tunica WPO update...Latest info
The Fri $550 buy-in event is sold out. As of 3:30am CST the total was 1289 players (189 alternates)
Registration for EACH event(except the 10k main) will not be taken until 12noon the day before. In other words, after the Fri event starts they will begin taking registrations for the Saturday event. The registration desk will be open until 3am and reopen at 8am. All the events will be sold out for starting seats it appears at 1100. Beyond that will be alternates. Alternates will get in as players get busted out within a certain time frame or rounds. Exactly what time frame or number of rounds I do not know. Best wishes everyone!! ps....Main event registration is anytime. |

Re: Tunica WPO update...Latest info
I think they were projecting 1100. I realize that doesn't mean they'll have that many there though. It would really surprize me if there was less than a 1000. Does anyone know how many people were in the main event last year?

Re: Dont doubt it.....Dont be surprised....
I keep forgetting to grab the color brochure and bring it home. It tells the numbers and prize pools and winners as well as final tables of each event last year.
What I do remember is 2 years ago it was just 160. Last year about 2 months before the event, as we were seeing this huge change of more young "internet and tv" players coming in, I suggested the over-under for last years event at 350+. Everyone thought I was crazy. That event, won by Barry Greenstein was 367 players. We did project 20% growth for the entire month of tournaments...I think that # will be crushed too. Realisticly....I say the over under is 650. It would be great to see it reach that 1000+ number though. |

Re: Dont doubt it.....Dont be surprised....
Just curious @ 1000 entrants how many will cash??
Would you guys change some of the payout scale or is that already a sliding scale sort of thing..?? Sorry, Ive never played in a WPT or major live tourney before just curious. |
