Re: PPJP @ 450k!
bonuswhores.com cites that the breakeven point, EV-wise, ranges from 130k to 200k dependant on the stakes you play.
It's currently almost at 450k. Anyone want to try and flood a table and play only BBJ hands? |

Re: PPJP @ 450k!
good luck.
those tables usually don't work very well. 1. among 2+2'ers it becomes difficult to establish a set of 'rules'. Some people don't even know what the qualifying standards are anyway. 2. Always checking it down actually DOES have the chance of being caught by Party and they can decide that it's implicit collusion and not pay you (on the weird chance that you were to win). 3. It's hard to get 2+2'ers in all 10 seats. 4. We did one of those tables last year...it was mostly +EV for the sillyness and entertainment standpoint. -EV for time-spent at the tables though...and it's not even close. Don't expect this to actually increase your chances enough of hitting the jackpot to make it worthwhile (especially considering the chance that party might screw you over on it anyway) Not trying to ruin your fun on this. If you want to do it then go for it....just giving some reality here. |

Re: PPJP @ 450k!
Yeah, the rules say no collusion, but I have no idea how that's enforced given that the $$ is deposited to your account instantaneously upon winning.
That said, I find it hard to think of a situation where collusion would really be of any benefit to anyone. With the jackpot so big, it's ordinarily [ok, maybe not ALWAYS, but pretty close] in each player's interest to call down with almost any hand that has any chance to qualify for the jackpot. |

Does anybody figure Taxes into their EV calculation on the thing?
