I think I had a better play on the turn
Party 10/20 9 max. 7 handed
Button is fairly new but seems slightly loose/aggressive. BB is very loose, never check/raises, bets out with any pair or any draw on the flop. I open raise J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] from LMP, CO folds, button calls, sb folds, bb calls. Flop: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] BB bets, I raise, button calls, BB calls. Turn: A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] BB bets, I call, Button raises, I fold. |

Re: I think I had a better play on the turn
what is the better play of which you speak. folding straightaway to the turn bet doesn't seem like a great option. I probably raise the turn again as a lone ace probably is not going to 3 bet it, and you gain value from people with K8/flush draw/109o/56o

BB is very loose, never check/raises, bets out with any pair or any draw on the flop. [/ QUOTE ] BB could be sensing the ace is a scare card and donk some crap hand so I like a raise here, checking behind on the river. If button's on a draw, which seems fairly likely after his flop coldcall, you can charge him extra this way too. |

I woulda raised the turn, and gone from there. If the button cold calls again, then I probably check call river. If there is a turn 3-bet from either player I let it go.

Re: I think I had a better play on the turn
Pop the turn. You've now made enough noise that you can easily fold in the face of any further aggressive action, and it tells him not to [censored] with you if he has a flush draw ro something.Plus there's a tiny chance you'll push out a better hand behind you.
