Short hand poker notes
Im trying to figure out a system for make notes on players. But i always write too much i.e. it takes too much time. And they arnt always that helpful, becuase im not always sure what to write. I'd love to hear some of your systems, what you specifically like to point out. what your abrevs are. I googled it with no luck.. is there a site or another good thread with this info? Thanks

Re: Short hand poker notes
I dont take too many notes anymore because PAHUD is getting really good.
But I always like to make notes on a players tendency's on the turn seeing as I play mainly 6 max. |

Re: Short hand poker notes
The more notes you type, the more you'll make your own abbreviations. That said, here's some of my examples:
CR=check, raise CC=check, call SP=slowplay OC=overcards Donkrepturn= he donk-bets a turn scare card sometimes to represent a made hand [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]=probably means he's a chip-spewing fun-having maniac and I love him for it. |

Re: Short hand poker notes
i usually write the line they took on a questionable hand at the bottom(Party has a huge box to fill). I then at the top have:
key: (f) Flop (t) Turn (r) river, Bt=Bet, PFR=PReflop raise, PF p reflop,W/ = With. On a player i may have: Stakes:1/2 PFR:82sCO LIMP:53oMP1, LRR-AA(CO) Notes: LRR AApf. = Limp reraises AA preflop. OR ILL CONDENSE THIS INTO THE PREFLOP RAISE NOTES(SEE them) bt QKJT(t) W/53o Note is a sign he likes to bluff potential scare cards. I find a replay of the hand is better than a general summary of action. I.e. if he Rasises a scare card, to assume this all the time and write "Raises scare card" can be misleading when he next raises a completed flush on the flush hitting. If you write the occasion you can read it and take from it what you like. p.s. Reviewing hands, Note the plays made by opponents using shorthand in PT then exporting them = Awesome. Good luck. |
