Decent Charities
I am interested in giving my money to a charity that helps young people in third world countries. My specific interests are that I am only sponsoring one person at a time and that I get updates on how they are doing and how my money is helping. Does anyone know any charity like this that I could go to? If I come up with some good ones through my own research, I'll post them here, in case someone else is interested.
Edit: It's important that the charities don't have a religious slant as well. |

Re: Decent Charities
The Christian Children's Fund seems almost exactly what you want.
Children, Incorporated is the charity Barry Greenstein gives most of his tournament winnings to. |

Re: Decent Charities
Why would you want to do that? What a bad idea.

Charity Navigator
The "peer analysis" section should help you find the kind of places you're looking for. |
