Default Super Magoo jamboree report!

This will be short as I'm hella tired and have to work in the morning.

We got to MGM, started having drinks and nametags made around 7pm, did a role call at 730pm and the donking began at 8pm! We had a total of 4 tables after the MGM floor staff made sure to combine a few live games to accomodate us.

MAJOR Props to all the MGM staff. The floors, dealers, chip runners, and waitresses even though they were short handed in the drink department. The dealers were instructed that we were a good bunch and just deal whatever and I can honestly say...NO MISSDEALS! not one, nothing. We did have more of the experienced ones in the upstairs room though.

Highlights of the night:
Dynasty with 1k in blue ($1 chips) on the table for his buy in.
Howard Burroughs shows up and just has to outdo Dynasty and gets another 1k to go on top of the rack he bought from another player. I think they brought well over 3500 in dollar chips to our table upstairs!

It was a pleasure getting to meet and chat with Mason and Ed for a few minutes when they were there

TT is still a magoo but he didn't stay very long!

Believe it or not the worst beat of the night on our table was Trillig against a player to be named later. Full house over full house on the river I believe! Trillig lost! haha
I had to hear about it as I drove him home, lol I was like...dude I was there and it was funny!

All in all a great night and tons of fun. I talked to Garry Boyd who was the floorman in charge of allowing us to set this thing up and accomodating us and he said there have been zero complaints by staff or customers and that we're welcome back ANYTIME! Also, that we were a great group and very generous with the staff.

I'm sure others will elaborate more as I just can't keep my eyes open anymore!

Sigh, I was on the list and I meant to be there but I ended up floating around on Lake Mead, instead. I wish I had been able to make it, I'm sure it was good times.

I took down a monster pot with 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in a seven way pot that was capped pre-flop.

Somehow, I ended up +54BB, even though I burned a lot of chips in Razz and Omaha 8OB.

Good times.

I'll keep this short since this TV internet thing is a pain in the ass (plus I want to see if it will get porn).

My feet are going to fall off. I walked from Treasure Island to Bellagio, back to TI, then back to Bellagio, then down to the MGM. And after the magoo action, walked from MGM back to TI.

At our table, we played Hold'em, Omaha 8, Razz, Stud, Stud 8, 2-7 triple draw, double flop hold'em, crazy pineapple, and crazy fox. Maybe some others too. I don't think I laughed so much since that one time I tried a hallucinogenic. About a half dozen White Russians helped out here.

I managed to break even to the penny, after tipping The Dude a dollar for putting a bad beat on me in 2-7 TD. I was dealt an 87643, and stood pat on all thre draws. I don't recall exactly what he drew on each round, but it was something like 3 then 2 then 1, to make a 7 high. In two earlier hands, I managed to forget the ace was high, and stood pat with A86xx, thinking I had 8 high. In the first Dominic paired on the last draw, so I won the hand anyway. Later I got beat by an 8 high, thinking I also had an 8 high, which of course I did not because of the ace.

So much for keepin it short, I'm sure we will remember a lot more good hands here. I got some cell phone pictures from our table, including Matt Flynn's 8 or 10 rack buy-in, and The Dude flipping out, which he did every time a card was dealt.

Anyway like I said I cashed out exactly what I bought in, after all tips, which could easily have been over $100. The dealers were great and had a lot of patience with us (Justin A's random tipping before, during, and after hands didn't hurt here).

It's 5 AM here, so I don't think I will make tomorrow's 2-7 TD game at Wynn's, at the ungodly hour of 10 AM, but I will head over there and try to catch the aftermath.

yeah to the 2-7 stuff

the other table was fun. DeathDonkey, bisonbison, Nolanfan, someone?, TheMetetron, Evan, Nate tha Great, BWebb, me and Gary (2+2 handle escapes me) played a round of PORSE lasting 150 minutes. Then was the official craps hour as soon as GoT showed up. Upon completion we searched for strip clubs that would let Evan in. Finally, the same one Jason_T has made famous was revisited and Evan succeeded in the same place that Jason did. I'll leave those details to the people involved. Drinking and such was +EV

Quick additions before I write a real report from the MGM game only:

-I can't remember who was in the 4 seat either for some reason.
-Poor Nolanfan never winning a hand for like an hour and then getting sweated by Joe Tall during a stud game and winning like 4 in a row. Joe Tall is to be feared at stud.
-Evan and I stacking the biggest pot I've ever seen (until the following morning playing 4/8 with GoT et. al.) when we counterfeit Nolanfan's low and end up chopping instead of getting quartered.
-Jager is goooood. Tequila is dangerous.
-The Dude stumbling by, checking out someone's hand, and announcing to the dealer "10 bucks a deuce on the flop!" Flop comes 292, The Dude throws a 20 dollar bill at the surprised and confused dealer and stumbles away laughing.

-DeathDonkey

Oh I forgot the 6-10 seat at my table being a bunch of tight wad bastards during Razz (They never went to fourth street in the first like 5 hands). So I paid for that entire half of the tables first bet. Of course, they all folded on 4th street, so they probably deserved a kick in the nuts.
