All the central and east coast servers are located in Washington DC, and all the mountain and pacific servers are located in LA.

This was the way it was in beta, not certain it will be this way on release tomorrow but I am guessing it will.

I will probably end up playing on a central alliance pvp since thats where my guild has decided to play. Sadly Blizzard hasnt given a list of servers yet as far as I know.

what does "playing alliance" mean? i never played any betas of this game because im too busy sitting around.

the Horde and the Alliance are at war with each other, and you can only play with people in your territory (or race).
