I love songs that have kick-a** intros.

I nominate PF's The Wall, ACDC's "Thunderstruck" and "For those about to Rock (We salute you)".

Give me some more examples of great intros to great songs!

This is probably right. How did I forget this one..

also, "Foreplay" by Boston is very good, although technically it's its own song but it's usually played as a lead-in for "It's been such a long time".

Fantastic choice. You can't possibly deny that it has an incredible intro. Fantastic driving song. Oddly enough I listened to that song this morning and totally blanked when I read the question.

Songs I just like the intros to, but probably don't qualify:

Soundgarden - Pretty Noose
Pink Floyd - Time
Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer
Midnight Oil - Short Memory (bizarre song, but I like the 12 string at the beginning)

Wow, I didn't see it mentioned. Shocking. I don't even really liked Ozzy/Sabbath, but hell...you can't deny that one.
