i'm dating a girl that doesnt approve of my playing. she thinks its gambling which is negative. at best she thinks its an unhealthy hobby and i should be spending some or all this time with her.

any thoughts on how to get out of this jam and still get laid? i'm looking to keep playing the same amount (~25 yrs/week) but not lose the good parts of dating. this isnt the first time a girl has been anti-online poker.

These were my thoughts. And besides, the way dating generally works, you won't be seeing her in the next couple of months anyway. I have a steady relationship currently and haven't dated around in awhile, but I remember constantly lying to girls about minor details (as I saw them). "Oh yeah, you're the only girl I'm seeing."

It sounds like she could possibly be a ball breaker. She'll either not like you because of poker gambling (or some other lame reason) or you'll get tired of her yourself. Just make sure to have fun, get out, keep your options open, and don't forget to hedge your bets...you might eventually win a jackpot and meet someone cool as opposed to just a lay.
