"It is absolutely the thing to do right now."

I would like to announce my retirement from poker, as I am not allowed to do anything that is considered mainstream or cool.

I always knew I was a tool, but now Homer thinks I'm one too.

My biggest problem about the article is the tag-along about gambling problem. It seems that if you have a beer-fest, you have to have a AA comment, if there is women boxing of football, a comment about spousal abuse, and if there is anything about poker, BIG WARNING!! SOME PEOPLE GAMBLE AND CAN'T CONTROL IT SO YOU SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO HAVE ANY FUN BECAUSE YOU ARE MORE DISCIPLINED AND SMARTER!!!!!

Don't worry about it. If CNN is reporting it, it is already Old School, and no longer cool.

"It's actively soliciting kids to gamble, and in some states, that may be illegal," Whyte said. "You wouldn't have a college drinking championship, or a college smoking championship.com."

I'd like to see a college drinking championship. That would be a riot!

You mean, they didn't have them at your school? My first thought when I read that was of the Beer Olympics...

and yes, it was as funny as you'd expect.

I've spent plenty of hours playing poker in the basement of my fraternity house. I've never had trouble getting a poker game or tournament together until I took it too far and tried to organize a strip poker tournament between sororities. That one got me in a bit of trouble. Oh well....back to 2-4.
