Bottom set facing HUGE overbet NL200 6max
Don't have the HH so I will post from memory. Villain is relativley LAGish with around 42/12/1.8 stats. He had been opening lots of pots but had never done anything so weird that I had taken a note on his postflop actions.
Effective stacks are around $240. UTG limps, Villain (in MP1) raises to 7. Hero calls on button with 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB folds, BB calls and both limpers call. Flop is K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Everyone checks to villain who pushes for about $230 into a $28 dollar pot and action is on Hero. I really don't know if this is a call or fold. I think it is a call since he could easily have AK or air here. But his stats aren't that LAGish and I haven't seen him do anything really weird postflop until now. Thanks for your help. Jason Edited for Preflop action, only 4 players in not 5. |

Re: Bottom set facing HUGE overbet NL200 6max
this is a WA/WB situation. he either has a big set or kq and making it look like its nothing or he has something like aa and doesnt want anyone to draw on him but hopes ak calls which id even fold ak to this bet so most likely unless hes a real donkey it may be wise to fold

Re: Bottom set facing HUGE overbet NL200 6max
i would instacall here. i'm thinking that we're up against TPTK, not an overset.
.edit maybe even AA or lesser PP |

Isn't this what you wanted? Call. Strange way for him to get value out of top set, so I think he has something less threatening.

I am just incredibly confused by his huge overbet. it is so hard to put people on a hand when they make a standard 3.5 BB raise preflop and then push in 115 BB on the flop. |

[/ QUOTE ] Misclicks and tilt happen. He could have been multi-tabling or not paying attention. For something this nutty I'm calling all the time. Edit - If this was on Stars he may have been trying the over-reload trick figuring that everyone would fold. |

Re: Bottom set facing HUGE overbet NL200 6max
I call. KQ, JT (OESD), AK, AQ, AA, or even K6s/Q6s!? seem more likely as a class of hands than JUST KK or QQ given your read.
You always have 2 outs if you're up against a higher set... Although, to be completely honest, I would be extraordinarily unhappy as I typed "nh" into the chat box if he really did have the higher set. |

Re: Bottom set facing HUGE overbet NL200 6max
InstaCall - it is very unlikely that the villian even saw the 6 on the board. No way he thinks he's up against a set. I put him on 2 pr at best.

Re: Bottom set facing HUGE overbet NL200 6max
Call. I've never once seen someone at NL100-400 overbet huge into a a pot with something as premium as top set / middle set, especially on an uncoordinated board.
