I am a passive calling station...
...and I don't like it. This hand felt very wrong, but I don't know what I could have done different. I have no other read on the opponent other than that he is not horrible, which basically means he's not very loose nor a maniac. So, what could I have done different?

Re: I am a passive calling station...
This looks fine.
I would consider a river raise, since he looks so damn weak, but I doubt he calls with AQ-AT here. |

Re: I am a passive calling station...
there are definitely times where call/call/call is the best line. his small river bet is curious but i'm not sure about raising. it looks like a lot like AQ/AJ to me at this point who assumed his kicker was good because it's a limped pot (not sure why he checkraised the flop though) and you may get him to make a crying call with one pair. if he has AK or 55, oops!

Re: I am a passive calling station...
You played it fine. If you lost out, it wasn't that much, and I think what you save here in the long run when behind outweighs it.

Re: I am a passive calling station...
does anyone not raise the turn here? you lose probably approx the same amount when behind, ie you're done if villain reraises/calls, and you prevent him from popping off a free card T-Q and K,7 for counterfeiting

Re: I am a passive calling station...
he's is the SB here, so i put him in just 4 hands K5,55,AQ,AJ, to check raise the flop, and you beat 3 of that 4 hands
what do u think? |
