AQs in SB
$20-40 at the Mirage. One limper, one raiser, one cold caller, another raiser, and it was my turn in the small blind with AQ suited. My default play in the small blind is to fold, but my default play with AQs is to not fold. So I figured it was a wash so I went ahead and called because calling is fun. The big blind and the limper called two cold, the raiser and the coldcaller called one bet, and six of us went to the flop for three bets each.
The flop was K-9-7 twotone, with none of my suit. I checked, the BB checked, the limper checked, the initial preflop raiser (IPR) bet, the coldcaller called, the preflop reraiser folded, and I looked left. What's this? The big blind and the limper are both cocked and ready to muck? Okay, I called and stuck out my feelers. They both folded. Three players. The turn was a total blank. The IPR bet and the coldcaller called. IPR looked worried. The coldcaller looked determined. I almost called and then I almost raised and then I almost called and then I folded. Man that was a busy nanosecond. The river was a blank. It went check-check. IPR showed JJ and the coldcaller showed his flopped nut flush draw. My blind again. Gotta go. Tommy |

"six of us went to the flop for three bets each."
One more and you would have had a baker's half a dozen. Or was it all a Mirage? |

What happens if it is more than a nanosecond?

Re: AQs in SB
Isn't this a standard preflop reraise?.
Isn't this a standard turn call?. |

Re: AQs in SB
Hi Tommy,
why did u call the flop with no flush or backdoor flush draw, no pair, only one overcard, and when 2 people have shown significant strength preflop? -Scott |
