Find myself getting sucked out on.

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums so don't beat up on me too bad.

Everytime I have a hand, weather it's top pair, a high pocket, trips, i always end up being called when i bet big (giving bad pot odds to drawers), yet i find myself being called, and getting sucked out on all the time.

I played heads up vs a buddy last night, he is a pretty horrible player, almost anytime I hit something better then average, he'd stay in and hit a flush, or if a straight would beat me he'd usually hit that.
But that was just last night, almost everytime I get top pair, or trips, someone else gets better trips or two pair by the river.

I really don't know what to do at this point, any suggestions?

If you are a new player and lose all the time, can it be that you are the horrible one?

The first thing you need to realize is that you suck. And you need to learn not to suck. Its gonna take a long time to figure out how not to suck if you are up for it.

I honestly will not say im the best player, or try to act concieted about my poker skills, I have read HOH 1 and Read most of TOP, I have talk with my bud who's probably read almost every book out there and is a great player who if loses is really suprising, he helped me a lot when i did suck, i have tons of knowledge and way more then the people I play with.

You obviously think you are good which is ok, its good to be confident but i think you are taking it too far. The best way to improve is to realize maybe your plays were bad and that you werent unlucky. I personally consider myself horrible, i ve cashed 1K in a few tournies but thats it i still do stupid [censored](although your average player will think it was a good move), but im very proud to say i acknowledge that i am not good or that my beats werent such a long shot.

Conclusion: If you arent criticizing your plays and simply blaming it on bad luck then you will never improve and always suck maybe not in your mind though which is fine by me.
