If it was spent wisely on a minimalist but strong government (Thatcherite if you like) then no more than 10% would necessary considering all the other taxes out there.

Just to clarify the question. I am not talking about society as a whole.
Perhaps you may think Bill Gates should pay 50% of his income to taxes, but Joe McDonalds should pay 5%. What is the maximum the Government can take before it becomes unjust? |

If it's the maximum you can take off ANYONE it's hard to put a limit on it. Having anywhere near $1 billion is just obscene. I'm all for capitalism, but rich people having tax havens pisses me off big time.

Even with tax breaks the rich people get they still pay a higher % of taxes than anyone else, you definatly are not pure capatalist.

I don't know how to define pure capitalist but I certainly support a capitalist system. However, there just comes a point when having more money is just unnecessary.

The uber-rich only pay in a small amount of what they're worth. Even the upper-upper-middle class are worth mostly their income, and as long as that's where taxes are coming from, it's going to be hard to build wealth. |

You should make 0% an explicit option.
