Are the impied odds here?
It's the begining of a large MTT. Blinds 10/20. I have 1800 in the BB. UTG min raises. MP re-raises to 120. Button cold-calls. I have 33, is this s a good place to look for a set?
It costs me 100 more, if I hit I should have no problem getting 1500, so I think the odds are there, but I know I have to be beat right now. I'm also worried about the minraise by the UTG. I moved to the table a few hands ago, and I don't know if his min raise was looking for a re-raise or not. Do good tourny players look for a better spot, or is this a prime money making spot? |

Re: Are the impied odds here?
call, you're likely busting at least one of them if you hit.

with that many chips I think its worth the risk of having to fold to a big reraise, but thats just me.

[/ QUOTE ] If I haven't seen UTG limp-reraise, I call too, with no problem folding to a UTG raise, you have a lot of chips and the implied odds are large with 4 in the pot. Really, even if I had seen UTG limp-reraise I still might get involved as the cost is small compared to the stack. Regards, Woodguy |

Re: Are the impied odds here?
Thanks for the imput. When UTG just called the raise I felt I made a mistake. When another 3 fell on the flop I was sure of it. When all three other players went all-in w/ pocket pairs (99,JJ, and AA), I bashed my head on the desk. I wanted to get a results-free opinion though. Live and learn.
