I quess i suck at 30/60.
All hands are between 7 and 10 on a table played without table selection (6-tabling). I finally hit -200BB streak at last 3K hands and felt pretty tilted, back to 15/30 and after 1.5K hands won 40$ and find myself too laggy for 15/30 and too weak-passive for 30/60. It was my second shot at 30/60. First was when they opened 6 tables. Both of them were started with good positive streak and ended with moderate but too dissapointed downstreak (when i can't see that much bad beats - i simply feel that im outplayed somewhere i can't find where).
There is something completely wrong with my game as i feel 30/60 is still beatable for a good winrate. But too aggressive style still doesn't comfortable for me while multitabling and 'fit or fold' style which is good for lower level is obviously doesn't work here. So i have dilema either to continue pushing 30/60 lesser tables with help of deeper reads (using table selection which one i actually hate to do usually) to extract more EV and reduce downswings or step back to 15/30 6-tabling. Anyway - any tips and thoughts about stats are welcomed. Stats for 30/60 are below: |

Re: I quess i suck at 30/60.
I think you should drop back to 2 or 3 tables until you are beating the game for a healthy ammount. I think you should definitely conquer the 30/60 since I think there is a significant chance that it will kill the 15/30 game. (I have never played the 10/20 full, but I have read many times that it is tougher than the 15/30. I would be concerned that the 30/60 is going to suck a lot of the fish out of the 15/30 and leave the games less profitable.)

Re: I quess i suck at 30/60.
I'm going through the exact same. I've dropped to 4 tables but my interest in poker has almost gone so i struggle to even watch hands/players now.
I'm away for the next few days but after that i'll log a few sessions and we should both trade hand histories and post the ones we disagree on. |

Ditto. I'm getting whooped in the 30 as well (although I sincerely feel I'm playing well and am taking a few bad beats). I can't see your stats, but one thing I found out about my stats is that I am simply attempting to steal too often and defending too often, namely against better players.

Re: Text stats
Maybe I'm mising it but I don't see the key stat IMO your standard deviation per hand. Is it there and if not what is it? From some cursory calculations you could easily be playing break even poker and be down 200 BBs after 30,000 hands.

Re: Text stats
It depends on his standard deviation. It's not out of the realm that he could be a 1.8/100 BB winning player with a high variance and show these results over 30,000 hands. If he won at a reate .9BB/100 he could very easily be behind 200 BBs after 30,000 hands.

Re: Text stats
Believe it or not this is damn close to what I guessed your standard deviation would be. FWIW I would consider this a fairly normal standard deviation. A few things from your results FWIW:
1. You're almost certainly not a big winner or a moderate winnner in this game. I define a moderate winner as about 1.8 BB/100. Likewise you're almost certainly not a big loser either and it looks to me like there's a very small chance that you're even a moderate loser. Looks to me like the odds favor you being a slight loser at around -.7 BB/100. 2. Like I stated previously if you are beating this game your win rate is small. 3. As I'm sure you know your results can very widely after 30,000 hands. |
