Gotta fold this right?
50$ Party PLO
Enemy is table laggo maniac. We both start hand about 200 bbs. He could have nothing or any wacky combination of cards. You have JJTQss in ep. Flop comes J 2 4 two spades. you bet pot he calls. Turn is a 2 you pot it he calls. River is a 2. I check he bets pot which is at 50bbs Easy fold given description of player right? What if he was generally tight? anyone bet the river? |

To be quite honest I cannot lay this down if he actually fits your description of a maniac. Sometimes I would checkraise the turn here if I was sure he would bet pot at me. |

Re: Gotta fold this right?
Your river-check induces him to represent it. But then again he knows that you probably knows that. Toughspot but i would probably call but it is a hard call.

Re: Gotta fold this right?
It was a limped pot, he was the only player to call my bet on the flop.
Interesting thought about the CR, I'm a big checkraiser in PLO, this didnt cross my mind though as his quick call felt like flush draw. I hate not getting a little money in on the turn in that spot. Usually I bet less, but I figured he was coming along anyways. |

[/ QUOTE ] You must call- vs LAGs or TAGs, whatever- call this bet at the very least; Maybe fold to a known nutpeddler... maybe. c'mon... do you really think a 'laggo mainiac' is gonna have the duece more than 66% of the time in this spot? I'd put him on KK, QQ, maybe 44... or a misssed draw, etc. Why would you consider folding? i'd be thinking about how much more he'd call... but then, i'd probably have value bet in the first place, instead of checking to him on the river. folding, especially to a LAG, is very W/T. |

Re: Gotta fold this right?
Why do you check the river? I prefer betting and folding to a big reraise, that's if you are thinking about folding at all.
Call the river imho. |

Re: Gotta fold this right?
i check call this river card - betting out will lose his river bet if he really does have nothing

Re: Gotta fold this right?
Easiest call ever. You put him specifically on a deuce that happened to make runner runner quads?
Check-call is probably the best way to go against most opponents, not because you're afraid you're beat but because they may not be able to call a bet. |

Re: Gotta fold this right?
I agree with everything acesover8s wrote.
Maybe small bet instead of check-calling is reasonable too. (many hands may raise and some crap will call) |

Re: Gotta fold this right?
I'd bet this river and probably fold to a raise given this pot size. Hard to put him on the case 2.
