Default Stupidity and lunacy defeated in Dover, Pennsylvania...

Nice to see that people who should be classified as clinically insane are no longer running their school board.

Would you care to enlighten us as to your findings, Doctor jj_frap, in determining
the clinical insanity of these folks?

People who want religion taught in public schools are missing a few cogs. The residents of a very conservitive school district in the heartland of Pennsylvania overwhelmingly voted on the side of sainity and consitutionality. The vote was 8 out of 8, 100 percent.

This vote is a message to the American Tailiban from regular American Joes and Janes: STAY OUT OF OUR SCHOOLS and OUR POLITICS.

One way to deal with the problem is to allow school choice. Allow these "taliban" supporters to send their kids to private schools, then they would "STAY OUT OF OUR SCHOOLS." I am sure you are in favor of school choice?

As far as staying out of OUR POLITICS...why shouldn't everyone have a right to get involved in politics? I am sure you are upset that they are trying to force their beliefs unto you. However, don't you want to force your beliefs on them? If you belief in high taxes, and you force others to pay them or they go to jail, isn't that forcing your beliefs unto others? Every law on the books is somebody forcing their beliefs unto others.

Try to make a point without resorting to lumping.

So you believe religion should be taught in science class? Let me ask you, about how old is the earth? 4, 5 thousand years?

I never realized that school choice was an issue. I was always under the impression that everyone had the right to send their children to private school if they so chose. It's what my parents did

Sure, because surely the public schools will refund you the money to send your kid to a private school. After all, they will have one less student, so why would they get to keep the money.

I wouldn't characterize rejecting evolution in biology as a legit "belief"
It's akin to teaching the earth is flat in geology.

P.S. Just to set the record straight I am a practicing catholic so my rabid opposition to ID is not antireligious
