why i hate fast food

the other day i went to mcdonalds for lunch and ordered the usually quarter pounder meal. i get home and eat all of my fries then go for the burger. i take a bite out of the burger and notice something didnt taste right. i opened it up and found they had forgot to put meat on it. now some of you might ask, 'wouldnt you have realized the weight was wrong?' nope i was too occupied with tv to care. i really cant see how this could happen since they put all the toppings on top of the meat and would notice a thing like that missing.....

if anyone else has a better story of fast food messups then let it out

Before I quit fast food, I used to get breakfast at McD's every saturday morning. They never, ever once got our entire order right, and messed up in every place imaginable.

McD's drive-thru near me has an automated drink dispenser. I guess when the cashier rings up "Large Diet Coke", the drink machine drops a large cup onto a conveyor belt, and the cup moves to receive the ice, then the soda.

But I order mine with "no ice". The machine regularly gives me a half-cup of Diet Coke.

And the barely-employable employee thinks nothing of putting a lid on it, and handing me a half a drink.

I switched to Sonic. The food is no better, but they get it RIGHT every time. And those girls have nice butts. And they serve breakfast all day. And there are girls.

I'm always shocked when Taco Bell gets it right almost every time. Because you can't go to Taco Bell and order a "number 6". Well, you can, but no one does. Everybody orders 3-5 a la carte items. And they somehow don't screw this up nearly as often as McD's can screw up a "number 6".

Looking for a healthier alternative, we tried Quizno's. It was great. Kids liked it, too.

One day, I don't get home in time to make dinner, so I run to Quizno's. I order the same Kid's Meals (sandwich, chips, cookie, and toy)) that we got the week before.

As I'm hauling all this stuff towards the door to leave, I get a hunch that I should check to see if everything is in order.

Good thing I did. The Kids Meals each have a sandwich, and that's it! No chips, no cookies, no toys.

Tell the staff, and they all start pointing to each other. "I thought YOU were getting that stuff!"

Hey, no prob. Just give me my crap, so I can be on my way.

Suddenly, no one can find the kids' toys, nor cookies, nor chips. They get the manager, who informs his crew that this store no longer sells Kids Meals.

These A-holes charge me for 3 meals, and try to send me on my way with three sandwiches. Didn't give a damn if my kids get disappointed when they find out they got swindled out of an 18-cent toy.

OK, Mr Manager (who can't be out of high school yet), here's your chance to appease a pissed-off customer. What are you going to do about it?

"Those kids sandwiches only cost $X, so I'll refund you the difference. Is that OK?"

As Marcellus Washburn would say, that's "pretty F'ing far from OK." I gave him back my $30 order, and told him that I would cheerfully take my refund in the form of cash.

And the saddest part of this story, besides the fact that my temper is keeping me out of a place that makes damn good sandwiches?

The kids meals were called Quiz Kids, and that reminds me of my favorite line from The Three Stooges' "Sing a Song of Six Pants".

I go thru McD's for breakfast this morning (as I do fairly regularly), order a Sausage Bisquit and Diet Coke. Get to the office, take care of some business, sit down to eat brakfast about 20 minutes after getting here. THEY FORGOT THE SAUSAGE!!!!! I immediately think of this thread, then get in the car and drive back to Mc'D's to curse out the manager. Turns out she is decent looking, so I play nice, get a Sauage bisquit, and a Bacon Egg and Cheese Bisquit for a co-worker.

Maybe Zee is right, if I didn't eat this crap, I wouldn't have to deal with their incompetence.

Burger King service > McD's service, in my experience anyway.

One time I went to McD's with a friend of mine. We both ordered 6pc Nuggets (back before they were all white). Well they screwed up and put two of the ones with chewy veins in his, and forgot to put any in mine. He was pretty heated.
