Gift of the Week: Atlanta vs. New Orleans
This has got to be the most generous spread of the week. Atlanta is giving 4.5 points to New Orleans. With Duce out, and maybe Joe Horn out, and after a 52-3 beating by Green Bay, I see Atlanta slaughtering NO. If Vick is out, which he shouldnt be, Shaub has proven to be an excellent replacement.
I'm so confident at a 10+ point win, that I threw my entire bankroll of $223 on this game. |

it's not a lock yet, but early wagering at the books agree with your theory.

Re: Gift of the Week: Atlanta vs. New Orleans
I wasn't explicity approving the OP's reasoning. the point is that sharp book lines 5 days before the game have -4.5 as a SLIGHT betting favorite so far. I guess I should have said "it's FAR from a lock, but at LEAST the extremely early wagering appears to like the falcons so far". my apologies for the shoddy wording.

Sounds like a potential BSP pick. I like New Orleans already.

taking the saints - whenever I hear lock from someone with a 233 bankroll you know which way to go [/ QUOTE ] thats quite ignorant of you. Just because I have a low bankroll doesn't mean I know nothing about sports. I'm in college, and put $100 into the site before the start of the season. I dont have a full-time job where I can throw 1k into it. I've watched Atlanta play the Bills, then Minnesota, and then New England (Direct tv ). They're a very good football team. Home field means nothing for New Orleans. Their offense is nothing w/o Duce or Horn. They have no defense. The only way Atlanta is not going to cover 4.5 is if they have a complete team breakdown. This game is quite definitely a lock. |
