Battle of the blinds (I hate heads up)
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t400 (8 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx
BB (t5765) UTG (t12870) UTG+1 (t5460) MP1 (t21675) MP2 (t8430) CO (t17128) Button (t3650) Hero (t6664) Preflop: Hero is SB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 6 folds, Hero completes, BB checks. Flop: (t775) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets t600, BB raises to t1600, Hero... Is it as simple as giving him credit for top pair and folding? Or is there another line the heads-up pros would take? |

Re: Battle of the blinds (I hate heads up)
I'd probably fold this. If it was 3 clubs, I might reraise.

Re: Battle of the blinds (I hate heads up)
I had a very similar situation recently where I flopped middle pair out of the BB against the small blind.. he bet out, I raised.. he raised all-in for his last bit.. I had him covered and by that time I was too deep into the hand to turn back (I think I was getting like 4 or 5:1, something big).. He had top pair and it held up.. I am a very stubborn player in heads-up or SB vs. BB situations

Re: Battle of the blinds (I hate heads up)
I would fold here. He did an over bet when he raised, but I would give him credit for top pair or 2 pair and he doesn't want you to hit a flush draw.

Re: Battle of the blinds (I hate heads up)
With 2 clubs out there, you could check the flop, then call a small bet if he makes one. If you catch a K or another 6, you're in business, if you catch a club, your check call is in perfect shape for a semi-bluff with your flush draw. Check-call smells like you're chasing the flush to him. If you don't hit one of your 13 "betting" outs ( K, 6, spade ) check and be ready to give up the hand to another bet on the turn. If he checks behind, then lead the turn. Maybe you lead the turn regardless. I think the way this played out, you probably have to fold. Hrmm... I hate playing out of position, but this is one possible line, too tired to decide if it's good or not.

Re: Battle of the blinds (I hate heads up)
Seeing as you didn't raise preflop, its hard to put him on a hand. He could be calling with Jrag, you wouldn't know. I think you have to give him credit and fold.
