Correct to push?
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t15 (9 handed) converter
SB (t755) BB (t785) Hero (t800) UTG+1 (t560) MP1 (t755) MP2 (t1975) MP3 (t800) CO (t815) Button (t755) Preflop: Hero is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Hero raises to t80, 2 folds, MP2 calls t80, 1 fold, CO calls t80, 3 folds. Flop: (t262.50) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero bets t100, MP2 folds, CO raises to t200, Hero reraises all-in, CO folds. Final Pot: t562.50 As the post says, is this the right time to push or should I wait until I later street? I'm really surprised he folded since he had already put so much in the pot. EDIT: Had to add my all in because the converter cut it off. |

Re: Correct to push?
I think thats the same way I would play it mainly incase he was semi bluffing the flush draw or something. Just a call can make me nervous if a spade comes and I wont be able to get away from my hand.

Re: Correct to push?
After his raise, there are about 600 in the pot and you also have 600 chips. Calling is basically giving him a free card in hopes of extracting more chips out of him after the turn/river. There are lot of chips in the pot and I don't like to give a free card with this type of hand/board. He could have a weaker ace, spades, JQ, etc. I push without hesitation.

Re: Correct to push?
Good play. You can't call and let him draw out for free.

Yes.
If he has trips, oh well. But you can't give up the spade, and you have him beat any other way.

Re: Correct to push?
Although I would have raise a little less pre-flop, I think you post-flop play is fine on this hand. CO very well could have just been trying to steal here thinking you missed with what looked to be a weak continuation bet and fold to your push. There is a good size pot and you have a very strong hand. It may be too agressive but I think pushing to correct.
