a) call preflop? [/ QUOTE ] I don't because you don't have any flush value. That doesn't make it wrong though. [ QUOTE ] b) cap the river? [/ QUOTE ] Easily. No flushes and no turn action make this a no brainer. Plus, you have the best straight. Since you are posting this, I am guessing somebody had a boat, but you are going to come out on top way more than not. |

Brantford Ontario home of Wayne Gretzky. Actually these games are not for the faint of heart. the low quality of play is great for the win rate but it increases your variance to something seemingly intolerable if your one of the more emotional players these are not good games for you. luckily ive become accustomed to the suckouts so they no longer bother me. but that is by far the hardest part of playing against such carppy opposition

Maybe u should give that a second thought. 19:1 against a bunch of fish sounds yummy to me. [/ QUOTE ] At the point the action is to him, there's $80 in the pot, so his $5 call would make it 16:1. It's not 19:1 unless he's sure everyone else will call after him, which isn't a sure thing. |

I realized this when posting and I should have not assumed that the first three limpers would call. Considering this hand is 10 handed, I think the limpers will just call (Somewhat loose table). Unless one gets cute with a limp, re-raise. I suppose he could glance over to his left and see others about to throw in their lone red chip or whatever if he needs to verify he's getting 19:1. I would still call at 16:1 FWIW.
