KQs A on board
Villain is TAG.
Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 4 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. <font color="#CC3333">UTG raises</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero 3-bets</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, UTG calls. Flop: (7 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, UTG calls. Turn: (4.50 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG calls</font>, Hero calls. River: (6.50 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG bets</font>, Hero folds. Final Pot: 8.50 BB Turn and river I'm not too sure about. My thinking is that pairs under an ace can't be feeling good about themselves and will often fold the turn drawing slim. However, when I show weakness there's a good chance he'll bet them thinking he may be ahead. On the river, there's no reasonable hands that he can be value-betting here besides an Ace. |

Would you mind providing some more insight. I thought a lot about this hand and considered your line and decided it was not best.

Re: KQs A on board
The way you played it, I think you've gotta call the river or be folding the turn. You don't have the odds to call the turn if you think he's got an ace.

Re: KQs A on board
Well I can't put him only on an Ace. He could be betting an ace or a pair that I have beat. The idea is that his river play will let me know which one it is. That I have a chance to outdraw his pair of aces is merely icing on the cake.

Re: KQs A on board
Why would you think that a tag would only value bet an ace after the weakness you showed on the turn. KJ, KQ might play it like this too. I just hate the idea of calling the turn and folding to a river bet. Why not just bet the river and hope he calls w/something worse? I just think that he bets too many hands to fold this after the weakness you showed on the turn
