Adjusting to a high ante game-UB 1/2 .25 ante
I know this isn't as bad as Party but it still seems high to me. I feel like I should loosen up but any broad advice regarding how much and with what type of hands would be appreciated. Thanks.
Andy-Nice to see you as Moderator. I haven't been here in awhile, but your advice in the past has been insighful and a genuine help to my game. -MrG |

Re: Adjusting to a high ante game-UB 1/2 .25 ante
This game can really change by the hour. Watch the stats, somedays the average pot is $12, other times it is $24. When you play effects how you play.
When the game is looser you can do more with drawing hands, like 1 gappers after 5 limpers. Also, some of the players are regulars and you can adjust to their game and steal/bluff more when the games are tight. The Canterbury 2/4 and 3/6 are like this, sometimes it is a roller coaster, so be prepared. 7CSFAP loose section, will help. |

complain to UB, and ask them to add a .5/1 table with a 10c ante. Maybe if enough of us do that, they will listen.

Re: Adjusting to a high ante game-UB 1/2 .25 ante
Just getting into stud, so I'm playing very low limits. Paradise has no ante at .50/1 (.25 bring in) and I'm rather suprised how quickly my bonus is clearing there.
Any other sites with no ante at limits this low? ---Leavenfish |
