In the spirit of the MTT "play a hand with the masters" post. I'd be interested to know how you'd play this hand.
This is the 8th hand. I have played one hand. Limping in LP, then folding to a flop bet. Villain has played 3 hands, 2 limps then flop folds, one call of a 50 pre flop bet in SB, then calling a 50 flop bet before folding to a 200 turn bet (when the flush draw didn't hit?). I'm assuming preflop is standard, but maybe not? Seat 2 is the button Total number of players : 10 Seat 1: seat 1 (970) Seat 2: seat 2 (1045) Seat 3: seat 3 (1775) Seat 4: seat 4 (1075) Seat 5: Hero (985) Seat 6: Villain (885) Seat 7: seat 7 (920) Seat 8: seat 8 (530) Seat 9: seat 9 (895) Seat 10: seat 10 (920) seat 3 posts small blind (10) seat 4 posts big blind (15) ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to Hero [ 8d, 8c ] Hero calls (15) Villain raises (45) to 45 seat 7 folds. seat 8 folds. seat 9 folds. seat 10 folds. seat 1 folds. seat 2 folds. seat 3 calls (35) seat 4 folds. Hero calls (30) ** Dealing Flop ** : [ Jd, 9d, Ts ] Seat 3 checks. Hero ???? |

Check/fold [/ QUOTE ] Yup. This doesn't look like it's going to go the way of play a hand with the masters. |

Maybe not, but considering how few hands I actually play past the flop, I thought the hand could be analysed...

You've already cocked up by betting the flop with the ignorant part of the straight and with three overcards there. Now is the time to check/fold, as you should have on the flop.

Flop: check/raise
Turn: check/fold or calling a little or medium sized bet and if the river helps you, he maybe pays you out, but its possible you are drawing to dead if an 8 or 7 falls. You can't do better, he can even has a gutshot with KK and went on tilt. Next hand... If you call this all-in, i would like to sit to the same table where you are. So much hostility, so little analysis. [/ QUOTE ] This post requires much of the former and little of the latter. Alright, I'm busting your balls a bit and I'm really half joking my way through this thread, but dude you should be able to know why this spot sucks and is such a no brainer. Just listen to tigerite, there's no point in saying it twice. |
