Im taking a trip with 3 of my buddies to vegas in january. There is a big price difference if you tell them there are 4 of you as opposed to just telling them there are 2 of you. Is putting 2 adults in the reservation the standard play here?? Thanks in advance

I always tell them Two Adults even if one of my ..uh... "nieces" is under 21.

So the hotels are not uptight about it at all? Or would it be a problem getting 4 keys, or checking bags or anything like that?

I mean, paying for a room for 2 and having 4 guys show up to the front desk wanting keys and their bags delivered is going to be an issue in all likelihood. |

FWIW, 99% of all decent hotels have bellman that meet your car. The front desk won't know how many people get out of your car, or how many bags are going to your room. As for keys, I have been known to have to make a second trip to the front desk to get another set of keys - because I left the first two in the room.

When you get there, check in and when you're almost finished, ask for an extra key. It's no big deal. |

If you are going to ask questions like that, then you should pay the extra money.
Obviously, two people should show up, and request an extra key "just in case", or be satisfied with having to swap the two keys among yourself. Also, saving the money means someone is going to have to carry his own bags, or "blend" their bags in with the others. |

You don't check your bags with the front desk, but with the bellman and they don't care how many of you there are and the front desk has no idea how many bags are held.
