Trying to increase screen size on a Dimension 3000.
I picked up a Dell Dimension 3000 desktop to run as a remote server for my laptop.
The problem is that when I pull up the deskop using VNC, the screen size (1024x768) is much smaller than my laptop (1680x1250). I have gone into the desktop's screen properties to incease the size, but it is maxed out. How can I increase the desktop's viewing area? Do I have to download and install a better video driver? If so, any suggestions on where to get it? Thanks! |

I've never done this, but try going to Advanced -> Adapter -> List all modes

Re: Trying to increase screen size on a Dimension 3000.
Well most of the time the video card and/or monitor will limit your options and the only way to increase would be to replace either or both. I would check your Video Card and Monitor specs and determine if either will allow a resolution equal to that of the laptop. If not you will have to replace it. I really don't think a driver will suffice in this case...
