I\'ve been looking VERY forward to making this post.
A few weeks back I went on my first vomit-inducing downswing of 32 buy-ins at the 22s which is a loss of $704. More info on it is found here. I know this isn't the worst downswing anyone has ever had, but it was personally my first terrible one. Pretty much literally, none of my hands ever held. I mean, it felt so surreal. If it wasn't for this Irieguy gem, I don't know if I could have mentally pushed myself through this (thanks Irieguy). "It", which Irieguy speaks of in his post is SO true it's scary. I needed to know that I'm not the only one that experiences IT
To someone who only plays the 22s, being down $704 was extremely painful to deal with mentally and it made me begin to hate poker. But I played on. I dropped to the 10s for about 40 tournaments and went on a very nice heater (about 53/52 ROI/ITM). I was starting to get my confidence back, although I felt like I wasted a heater at a lower buy-in (even though the rational and mathematical side of me realizes you can't "waste" a heater). I then moved back to my main game, the 22s and grinded it out. I'm now happy to say I'm at the highest total profit I've ever been at. I beat my first very bad downswing (I hope I don't go on another one right after I post this). This is 798 tournaments (about 40 are 10s, the rest are 20s). ROI: 10.4% ITM: 37.6% |

Re: I\'ve been looking VERY forward to making this post.
Tournaments 240 to 275 look real nice. What's that, 35 tournaments and a profit of 900 bucks? Nice.
Continue on the good work sir. citanul |

Your breakeven streak didn't even last 300 tourneys.
Get out of the kiddie pool. |
