Thought there was a sticky on this subjecy but unable to find it.
Just received my 2001FP and hooked up to my laptop. When I go to monitor 2 and try to configure to 1600x1200 resolution there is no change. I'm sure this should be simple but hey I'm a 40-something. Any of you young whizzes wanna help an old fella out? |

I dont really know how to fix it but as far as the sticky you were talking about you can find that at the bottom of the FAQ in the internet forum.

Thanks for the reply. I am able to extend my desktop to the 2001FP. What I would like to do is set it up to use the 2001FP as my primary monitor.

then you need to make it monitor 1, i think. my laptop has this same kind of software, and after messing with it i got it right. trial and error may be your best bet.

Do you have some sort of toggle button on your laptop? For example, on my Dell, above the F8 key it says "CRT/LCD". So when I press Fn + F8, it toggles the video output between the laptop and the external monitor.
