Hit my ace on the river. Raise or call?
Thoughts: my opponent in this hand just sat down a few rotations ago, and was fairly solid from what I gathered. He wasn't too aggro by any means. I chose to call this river, but I'm not convinced it's the right play. Thoughts?

Re: Hit my ace on the river. Raise or call?
I probably raise this river. You're really only behind to a reverse dominated A here, and I think more often than not you'll see a checkraise for a hand like that. More often than not, the donk bet out is signifying a pseudo weak hand or a monster (but more often the former). I raise for value here, but probably don't have the balls to fold to a 3bet, though I probably should.

Re: Hit my ace on the river. Raise or call?
I would raise the river. I think you are usually ahead here, and he will call with weaker aces, queens and maybe some other one pair hands.
If he 3-bets, he probably has you beaten, but I think I still call 3-bet. Leak maybe? |

Because without a very good read otherwise, I don't think so. |

[/ QUOTE ] I agree, if opponent is not too aggro this is pretty clear fold to 3-bet. I know have been calling too many river 3-bets in similiar situations, have to improve that. |

I call this river except against players prone to bluff. Reverse domination is pretty common with the ace sidecard.
