Dell FP2100 question (unique, I think!)
Don't think I've ever seen this asked about, so I'll do it.
Seems as though I often have to turn my FP2100 on twice. I'll boot up my computer, turn the monitor on, but the screen will be black. I turn the monitor back off, and then on again, and VOILA!, I have a picture again. Anybody know what the problem is and why I'm having to turn the monitor on twice before actually getting a picture? |

I have a question on your question.
Is this running on DVI? |

Re: Dell FP2100 question (unique, I think!)
Cool, you may have helped with my DVI problem, I know this is of little help to you, sorry
If you are running an Nvidia grapics card there are known issues with DVI. I can run fine with an analog connection but whenever I switch to max resoution in DVI the screen goes black. Never thought of switching it on and off. will check it when I get home and report back. at the very least perhaps this could document a repeatable problem |

Re: Dell FP2100 question (unique, I think!)
I'm getting the same problem. After the monitor ran fine in DVI mode for a few months, then all the sudden one day it refuses to run in DVI mode and gives a blank screen. However, it's able to run in the VGA mode.
Check out threads such as http://forums.us.dell.com/supportfor...ing&page=1 I'm also trying to get this problem resolved. |

Re: Dell FP2100 question (unique, I think!)
I have no clue but my question would be why do you even turn it off ?
When you shut down your computer, the monitor would power down into "sleep" mode which should be just as good as shutting it down. my 2 cents busguy |
