Anyone for Louisville +3?
My first instinct was Illinois. Too much at the guard positions, Louisville's lack of a strong inside game, the near-home court advantage for Illinois, and the Cardinals'
dependency on threes have made me lean to the Illini. The noise machine is mostly on Illinois also. We all want to see Illinois-North Carolina on Monday night, right? However, Louisville may have some real chances. The key factor may be Francisco Garcia. If he can avoid foul trouble, and if there is some contribution from Juan Palacios inside, then the Cardinals have a chance. Plus Rick Pitino has a lot of coaching experience in Final Fours, while Bruce Webber is in his first Final Four with mostly inherited talent. Anyone out there like the points in this one? |

Re: Anyone for Louisville +3?
I think Lousiville +145 ML has real strong value. This game is a 50/50 game in my mind. All the press on Ill. and their almost perfect season, 15pt comeback, team of destiny, and UNC-ILL 1-2 hype all year has created value on Lousiville IMHO.

Re: Anyone for Louisville +3?
Down on Louisville +3 and a smaller play on over 145. Think there will be some treys in this one.
Looking at the women's final four, I like Michigan State +5. |

Re: Anyone for Louisville +3?
These games are so close in my mind that i cant bring myself to bet on them. That being said..... i think MSU is gonna beat Carolina and it is going to be an all Big Ten final.

Re: Anyone for Louisville +3?
I took the points; L'Ville +3
Illinois is the ultimate "public team," and I think the Cardinals guards are going to give them fits. All the noise is about the great Illinois comeback, but to my mind, the sustained comeback of L'Ville from 20 down was much more impressive. Also, "Ricky the Rat" gives L'Ville a pronounced edge in coaching. Just my $.02 worth... bill |

Illinois is the ultimate "public team," [/ QUOTE ] While I also like Louisville as a bet, I couldn't think of a more incorrect statement. I find it hard to recall a less respected team that spent 16 weeks at #1. |

Stanford and St. Joes last year had less respect, but I dont know if either was #1 for 16 weeks.
