Jordan Over/Under
I saw where the over/under for Jordans scoring average for the NBA season is 27.5. I think this may be a tad high given his age, although you have to figure he's going to get 30-35 shots a game and a lot of foul calls. I am tempted to take the under, my thinking is he will play a lot but may be aching a lot of the time also which will diminish his average. I see him averaging 22-24 a game. Any thoughts?--Big Al-- |

Re: Jordan Over/Under
I agree that he will be taking most of the shots.. The Wizards don't have any real offensive threats besides Jordan, and I see him scoring lots of points this year in a losing cause.. 27.5 seems about right to me if he gets into shape to play the number of minutes he'd like to.. After watching some preseason games, it looks like he'll have to be playing 40+ per night every night.. I know he won't be the Jordan of old, but at the same time, this guy won't sit on the bench for long if his team isn't getting it done without him.. more time equals more points, whether your name is Michael or not.. |

Re: Jordan Over/Under
Well, given his preseason performance thus far, the over seems like the bet to make, but remember this; he's been getting in "basketball shape" for the last 8 months, rib rehab notwithstanding; his opponents & teammates have been enjoying their summer off. I think once everyone is back in basketball shape, he will look nearly mortal. Sez here-23 points per game, with a 2 point margin for error based on possible injuries. |

Re: Jordan Over/Under
where do you see the line as 27.5? don't say Bally's or Paris, because that was their opening line. the last i checked (last week), it was 25.5 Under -140. |
